SuperBowl Stadium Football Cake

You can make this great superbowl cake....

Just use the Nordic Stadium Pan, available on Amazon.com.
You can use food coloring to make the people in the stadium.   Use the colors of your two
opposing teams!  We used colored fondant to make the field, and colored pipe cleaners for
the goal posts.  We added stadium lights.   You can purchase these mini lights from a craft store.
....or hobby shop!
You can put the cake on a stand to further add a parking lot and other fun accessories!
Flags are just cut out paper on wood skewers for the flag posts.

Have fun!   GO TEAM!!!

Back to the way it was.........

TIGHT ON MONEY???
So have you ever gone to the store to buy something you really need?
You get home, only to find out, that way back in one of your cabinets, you already had the item that you just bought?

                                  I HATE THAT!!!!

But that comes from disorganization and a lack of time.    It also comes from having the convenience of a store to go buy what I want.  Even though maybe I don't really have the money to spare.  So....there's always credit!!
Right?  .........with all the interest to pay as well.........

-But now, I am determined to get out of credit card debt.
-I am determined not to use the cards.
-In order to do this, I need to get back to frugal ways.

One of the ways is, when you are out of money and find you still need things.....     be creative, look around.....  improvise, utilize what you have.

Today I needed bread.    I remembered we still had flour and yeast, so I pulled out the old Betty Crocker Recipe Book from when I was a kid, and made some fresh bread!   As long as I was at it, I also made a pizza crust, and cinnamon rolls!   I had enough to double the batch- so I could freeze all the extras I made!

I didn't have a pizza pan, so I looked around.....found an all metal pot lid, turned it upsidedown and cooked the pizza crust on it!

For the bread I even had homemade jelly to go with.....
(I planted a grapevine in our yard.   This year it finally gave us alot of fruit.   So I decided to make jelly).    I am excited.
So, let's get cooking!   Don't be afraid to improvise or learn a new skill!

And let's go eat some yumminess! : )
